Hi, I’m Dayna!

I’ve spent my whole life swimming in stories—reading them, writing them, editing them—and somewhere along the way, I realized my favorite part wasn’t just getting lost in the pages. It was helping someone else’s work feel like it finally clicked into place.

I’m a firm believer that editing should never feel like someone is standing over your shoulder with a red pen. My job isn’t to rewrite you. It’s to help your work sound exactly like you wanted it to sound when you first touched the keyboard.

I’m about to finish my certification in copyediting through UC San Diego’s Extended Studies program (September 2025). For the past several years I have been a beta and sensitivity reader through third-party platforms. I’ve worked in genres like contemporary romance, speculative fiction, memoirs, horror, and YA. When I’m not editing, you can usually find me going to concerts or camping with my three daughters, or falling down research rabbit holes about things like lost treasure, survival stories, or the bizarre history of ordinary objects.
