Hi, I’m Dayna!

I’ve always lived in stories. I grew up devouring them, started writing my own, and eventually realized my favorite thing wasn’t just getting lost in a good book—it was helping someone else’s story click into place.

Editing isn’t about taking over your story. My job is to listen closely to your voice and help you shape your story so it reads the way you always meant it to.

I have completed my copyediting certificate through UCSD Extended studies, and I’m an active member of the Editorial Freelancer’s Association (EFA) and the American Copy Editor’s Society (ACES). I’ve also spent the last several years as a beta and sensitivity reader, working in genres from swoony romance and eerie horror to memoir, YA, and speculative fiction. Outside of editing, I’m a mom to three daughters and a collector of odd fascinations. I love a roadtrip! You’ll find me at concerts, camping and hiking, or stuck in a research rabbit hole about things like lost treasure, survival stories, or the strange and unexplained.
